  1. Looks to me like you were using the electronic shutter, combined with the frequency of the fluorescent light this results in only parts of the photo getting illuminated by the lights. You may prevent this either by using lower shutter speed (<60) or the mechanical shutter.
  2. What's the point of having the camera damaged if you can't have a genuine story, of dropping it with appropriate near-heart-attack, attached?
  3. Using an x-pro1, but I imagine the sensor is close enough to the x-t10's for these comments to be valid: 1) If it is just the concern of form factor and quality then no worries; fuji is fine. The only thing which I would be concerned about is whether you'll get proper support and no inflated prices due to everyone selling the other camera brands and being unfamiliar with fuji. 2) The lack of ibis is not really a problem, but, if you also have a non-ois lens, you have to take care to set the minimum shutter speed properly! 7) Voigtlaender nokton 40mm with fuji adapter, Asahi takumar 105mm with K&F concept adapter. Delicious .
  4. To clarify: when using a fully manual lens, I am wondering whether the camera could automatically have the small live view window show the face (or eyes).
  5. Does face detection work in manual focus mode so that the live view window automagically displays the selected face?
  6. The old 'there is always a better camera just around the corner' is true. However, in the fuji line-up this is not true for sensors (eg, the trans II spanned x100s, x100t, x70, x-E2(s), X-T1, x-T10), so I would recommend either waiting for the new sensor version of the x100(whatever) or buying a cheap x100/x100s, and the x100t only if you can get a particularly good deal on it.
  7. The menu button is the settings menu, which also contains shooting options. The q button is the quick menu which, if I remember correctly for the x100t, contains shooting options like ISO, DR, film simulation, jpg/raw, etc. If you want to change iso quickly, you either use the quick menu, or, if you want faster access, you assign one of the function buttons to changing iso.
  8. The difference in image is most pronounced (though still subtle) in high iso situations, with the x-pro1 having a, to me at least, more pleasing digital grain (when noise reduction is set to -2) than the x-trans II sensor cameras.
  9. Depends on the quality of the lens - if it is good enough for an improved 2/3" sensor to provide a good image quality improvement this would be a fine update. However, if fuji needs to develop a new lens anyway then they may as well go for the increased sensor size as well.
  10. On the x-pro1 it was pressing the disp/back button for a few seconds.
  11. It is a non-issue only if you aren't affected by it. I don't really mind the current settings, but I see no downside to having this camera behaviour customisable. In fact I would like to have the option of setting different viewfinder-lcd behaviours for the Q-menu and the normal menu. This would be a fine upgrade to add to the next firmware update
