  1. Most Popular Buy: Headphone Adapters (and Batteries) You may have noticed that the Fuji X Forum sometimes links to Amazon. This helps us to fund the forum – and gives us interesting insights what you Fuji X Forum visitors are interested in. I took a closer look at what products where bought from Amazon in recent months after having visited our forum. Some of the Most of the popular articles are obvious: Cameras Lenses Memory cards (see list below – Fuji X users apparently LOVE Sandisk) Batteries Accessories – you'll find some of them below About some popular articles I was first puzzled, but then I found the reason in the forum. Top Article: Headphone Adapter Believe it or not: The most popular article in the Fuji X Forum is this: Motorola USB-C to 3.5mm Audio Headphone Jack Adapter Cable How come? I searched the forum and found this discussion: » Fuji X-T4 Headphone Adapter Part … in which a member was looking for the best replacement for his Fuji X-T4 USB-C headphone jack adapter. The one he had didn't work and thus he was asking for advice. Obviously a lot of X-T4 photographers had the same problem – making the Motorola Adapter the most popular accessory here in the forum… Next up: Batteries & Chargers Fujifilm’s original batteries (NP-W126S and NP-W235) are most popular, but a lot of cheaper alternatives and dummy batteries are selling well too: Fujifilm NP-W126S Battery Fujifilm NP-W235 Battery Fujifilm BC-W235 Dual Battery Charger for NP-W235 Battery Wasabi Power NP-W126, NP-W126S Battery (2-Pack) Gonine NP-W126 Power Adapter / Dummy Battery SmallRig NP-W235 Battery Charger Set for NP-W235 NITECORE Camera Battery Charger (NP-W126 / NP-W126S) Gonine NP-W126 Dummy Battery Power Adapter BM Premium NP-W126S High Capacity Battery and Charger Top Cameras The three flagships (and the X-Pro3) are your favourite Fuji cameras: Fujifilm X-H2S Fujifilm X-H2 Fujifilm X-T5 Fujifilm X-Pro3 Top Lenses Four Fujinon lenses and a Viltrox prime are the best seller lenses: Fujifilm XF23mm F2 R WR Fujifilm XF55-200mmF3.5-4.8 R LM OIS Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R WR Fujinon XF16mmF2.8 R WR VILTROX 13mm f/1.4 F1.4 Accessories Haoge's accessories seem to meet your taste Haoge Bayonet Square Metal Lens Hood for Fujifilm Fuji XF 16-80mm F4 Haoge Square Metal Lens Hood for Fujifilm Fuji X100V Camera Shutter Button (2 Pack/Red) Soft Shutter Release Button Soft Silicon Camera Viewfinder Eyecup Eyeshade for Fuji Fujifilm X-S10 XS10 X-T200 XT200 JJC Deluxe Metal Thumb Up Grip SD Cards Memory card best sellers are SanDisk UHS-II cards: SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II SanDisk 256GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I SanDisk 128GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Do you have other recommendations for Fujifilm photographers? 2. The cooperation between smartphones and tablets with Fujifilm cameras of the X and GFX series has not been a glorious one so far, the comments on our forum or the reviews in the app store have never been particularly positive (to put it mildly). Fujifilm has listened the criticism and today introduces the new Fujifilm X-App. Functions, operation speed and stability have been massively improved, but most importantly, a new platform is used in the background, which makes extensions and improvements possible for the future. The new app works with all Fuji X cameras that have Bluetooth capabilities, and corresponding firmware updates are available starting today. The app itself will be available for free in the App Stores starting tomorrow (May 25, 2023), now also available for iPads. Key Improvements To The Fujifilm X-App Improved interface and operation: readability and contrast improved, easy connection with the camera. Better performance and stability Camera does not need to be put in a special mode, after the first connection everything can be controlled via smartphone. Image transfer even when still shooting with the camera Camera settings can be saved externally and transferred to other cameras of the same model Also new are the "Timeline" and "Activities" functions, which can be used to arrange images on a timeline and analyze them statistically. However, registration with the corresponding Fujifilm service is required for this. Fujifilm Launches the New App for the GFX / X Series of Digital Cameras “FUJIFILM XApp” Achieves seamless connectivity between a camera Features new function for viewing a day’s shooting activities as a photo journal TOKYO, May 24, 2023 – FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO, Representative Director: Teiichi Goto) announces the launch of “FUJIFILM XApp” (XApp)*1, a new app for use with the GFX / X Series of digital cameras. The app will be released for download on May 25, 2023. The XApp is a new app that connects GFX / X Series digital cameras with a smartphone or tablet device so that users can remotely control the camera and transfer images taken by the camera to the connected device for viewing. It offers an advanced level of wireless communications stability and speed, an improvement from the current “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” app (Camera Remote). The new app’s substantially enhanced usability makes it much smoother to transfer images from a camera to a smartphone / tablet device. Images are transferred along with the shooting information such as the camera and lens used and the location of the photo shoot, which can be viewed in the app. The addition of a function that presents a day’s shooting activities in the form of a photo journal further broadens the appeals of the photographic experience provided by the GFX and X Series. Fujifilm has worked on broadening the appeals of photography and boosting shooting convenience by offering the GFX / X Series, FUJINON interchangeable lenses and the Camera Remote app. In the latest move, the company has developed the new XApp, featuring enhanced functions and performance, to add greater convenience to users’ photographic experiences. Compared to the previous Camera Remote app, the XApp provides more stable and faster wireless communications, making photo transfers from a camera to a smartphone / tablet much smoother. All communication operations can be completed on a smartphone / tablet with the exception of the initial bluetooth pairing between a camera and the app. This facilitates simplified operations for enhanced shooting experience. The XApp allows users to remotely control a camera while checking the image of the camera’s rear LCD monitor on the smartphone / tablet device. Using the new “Backup/Restore” function, users can save camera settings*2 such as Shooting menu and setup configurations in the app. Saved camera settings can be sent and applied to the camera quickly and easily even during a photo shoot. The XApp’s new functions include “Timeline*3,” which displays each day’s shooting activity data, including the camera and lens used, number of frames taken and shooting locations alongside each of the transferred images in chronological order in the photo journal format. Users can edit titles and notes to create a unique photo journal with a personal touch. Another new function is “Activity*3,” which automatically aggregates and displays the cumulative number of frames taken, the number of times the Film Simulation function is used and other cumulative numbers, making it possible to reflect on past shooting activities along with corresponding photos and data. These functions advocate new ways of enjoying photography. Fujifilm will continue to develop and provide new products and services to further broaden the joy of photography with the GFX / X Series. *1 Compatible with smartphones and tablet device *2 All camera settings except for network settings and custom white balance settings *3 The Timeline function and the Activity function are not available in some countries and regions as of May 24. To view shooting information with these functions, users need to sign in with the Fujifilm account in their respective place of residence or with social media authentication (Facebook, Apple, Google). Information items to be aggregated are only those for which users have selectively given permission via the app. 1. Name App for the GFX / X Series of digital cameras, “FUJIFILM XApp” 2. The Image Transfer Order function makes it possible to transfer images in a camera to a smartphone or tablet device not only during the camera’s playback mode and when the camera is powered off, but also while taking pictures. This facilitates seamless posting and sharing of images on social media and messaging apps. The app has been updated with a high-contrast design in black and white as base tones. Text size has been increased to create a user interface with improved visibility. (2) Wireless connectivity for ease of photo shooting The XApp allows users to remotely control the GFX / X Series while checking the image of the connected camera’s rear LCD monitor on a smartphone or tablet device. It is especially useful in situations that require remote controls, such as a group shot and time lapse. Some shooting settings such as aperture, ISO and shutter speed can also be configured from the smartphone or tablet device. Using the new “Backup/Restore” function, users can save camera settings such as shooting menu and setup configurations in the app or send them to the camera. Favorite camera settings for different subject type or shooting situations can be managed in the app and exported to a camera, making it quick and easy to change settings even during shooting. Camera settings can also be reflected to multiple cameras of the same model via the app, thus streamlining multi-camera shooting. Even if camera settings are accidentally changed during camera operation, settings saved in the camera can be applied for instant recovery. Smartphone’s date, time and geolocation information*5 are automatically synched with the connected camera, so that it displays accurate time and records accurate shooting location information. *5 Users’ advance consent is required to synch geolocation information. Users can edit titles and notes to create a unique photo journal with a personal touch. Maps in the Timeline function automatically reflect shooting location data, making it easy to reflect where all the photographs are taken. Another new function is “Activity,” which automatically aggregates and displays the cumulative number of frames taken, the number of times the Film Simulation function is used and other cumulative numbers. Users can look back on their shooting activities along with corresponding photos and data, further enhancing the joy of photography. The Timeline and Activity functions are useful for refining photographic techniques. (4) Firmware Update Notification function for keeping the camera always up to date The app issues a notification each time a new firmware is released for the user’s camera. Follow instructions in the notification to easily keep the camera’s firmware up to date and enjoy the latest functions straight away.
  3. With the FUJINON XF8mmF3.5 R WR, Fujifilm introduces the shortest fixed focal length for the Fuji X system to date. The classic fields of application for this focal length (KB: 12mm) are architecture and landscape. In classical photography it offered rather an exotic image impression due to the large angle of view of about 120°, but due to the availability of ultra-wide angle lenses in smartphones the focal length has become much more popular The Fuji XF8mm is surprisingly small (52.8mm x Ø 62mm) and light (215g), making it easy to take along on hikes and city tours. Fujifilm Launches “FUJINON Lens XF8mmF3.5 R WR” Introducing a prime lens with the widest-angle focal length among interchangeable lenses for the X Series of mirrorless digital cameras Capturing every detail in vast expanses of landscape; Compact design to bring the world of ultra-wide angle photography to everyday use XF8mmF3.5 R WR When mounted on the mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-S20” TOKYO, May 24, 2023 – FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO, Representative Director: Teiichi Goto) announces the launch of the “FUJINON Lens XF8mmF3.5 R WR” (XF8mmF3.5 R WR) on June 29, 2023. The lens joins the line-up of XF lenses, interchangeable lenses for the X Series of lightweight and compact mirrorless digital cameras, renowned for their outstanding image quality based on Fujifilm’s proprietary color reproduction technology. The XF8mmF3.5 R WR is a prime lens with the focal length of 8mm (equivalent to 12mm in the 35mm film format), the widest among the lineup of Fujifilm’s XF lenses. It is a perfect choice for capturing expansive wilderness that spreads out in front of you, or bringing out the background broadly to add a dynamic touch to a subject. The lens’s compact design enhances its portability, bringing the world of ultra-wide angle (UWA) photography to everyday use. The XF8mmF3.5 R WR is an UWA lens, consisting of 12 lens elements, including three aspherical elements and two ED elements, in nine groups. It has the diagonal viewing angle of 121 degrees and boasts exceptional image-resolving performance with edge-to-edge clarity. The lens captures every intricate detail of a subject, covered in its characteristically wide field of view, including tree branches and leaves in expansive wilderness or ornamental details at a majestic cathedral. It also measures just 52.8mm long and weighs 215g despite being an UWA lens with the focal length of 8mm. The resulting portability means users can not only enjoy typical UWA applications such as landscape and architecture photography, but also take it out for a wide range of situations including as an everyday walkaround lens or for travel snapshots. The versatile filter thread size of 62mm facilitates the use of a variety of filters to broaden the scope of image production. The XF8mmF3.5 R WR joins Fujifilm’s extensive lineup of a total of 42 interchangeable lenses to cover a broad range of photographic genres, offering users the joy of photography with the X Series of APS-C digital cameras. 1. Product features (1) Widest-angle prime lens in the lineup of Fujifilm’s XF lenses XF8mmF3.5 R WR offers a focal length of 8mm (equivalent to 12mm in the 35mm film format), the widest angle in Fujifilm’s XF lens lineup. It covers the viewing angle of 121 degrees diagonally for UWA photography. This makes it an ideal choice for expansive wilderness photography and shooting situations involving a subject with high information volume. The lens consists of 12 lens elements, including three aspherical elements and two ED elements, in nine groups, thereby controlling lens distortion, spherical aberration and astigmatism to deliver advanced image-resolving performance. The lens captures every intricate detail of a subject, covered in its characteristically wide field of view, including tree branches and leaves in expansive wilderness or ornamental details at a majestic cathedral or temple. As a wide-angle lens, which typically has greater-than-normal depth-of-field, its aperture can be stopped down to facilitate pan-focusing*1. The lens uses the Inner Focus system, which drives compact and lightweight elements in the middle of the barrel. The wide-angle lens’s characteristically short travel distance for the focusing group of elements has boosted the focusing speed to as fast as 0.02 seconds*2, which is particularly useful in dynamic sports photography, taking advantage of the UWA field of view. *1 Photography where everything in the image, from the foreground to the background, is in focus *2 Using an internal measurement method compliant with the CIPA Guidelines, when mounted on the mirrorless digital camera “FUJIFILM X-T4” with Phase Detection AF activated and the High Performance Mode turned ON Consisting of 12 lens elements including three aspherical elements and two ED elements in nine groups ©Rafa Perez Presenting every detail of the subject in vast UWA field with impressive clarity (2) Compact design that brings the world of UWA to day-to-day use The compact lens measures just 52.8mm and weighs 215g. The effective positioning of the aspherical and ED elements has reduced the size and weight of this UWA lens, defying the typically large form factor of UWA lenses. Placing distortion-controlling aspherical elements at the front has kept the filter thread size to the versatile 62mm, facilitating the use of a variety of filters to enable long-exposure photography and landscape photography, a popular genre that takes advantage of UWA’s field of view. (3) Dust- and weather-resistant and capable of operating in temperatures as low as -10 degree Celsius The lens barrel is weather-sealed at 10 locations to achieve dust- and weather-resistance and capability of operating in temperatures as low as -10 degree Celsius. The front lens element is applied with fluorine coating to repel water and offer protection against stains. This means users can enjoy the lens with peace of mind to take photos in all shooting conditions including snapshots in daily life, travel photography and outdoor photography in light rain or in dusty places.
