Focus Point Moves Around While I'm Framing

My new X-T30 is set to AF Mode -> Single Point, Single Shot drive mode, and Single AF (not continuous) Autofocus mode.

But when I frame a shot and use the joystick to put the focus point exactly where I want it, the camera jumps the focus point around to somewhere else. It's as if I've set it to some sort of Area Focus mode.

I can't for the life of me figure out what setting to change.

A couple of ideas - do you have the camera switched to full auto mode? Or maybe face detection on?

Maybe post a link to an example image straight out of the camera so that we can see your settings.

Most likely you've set up your touchscreen to select the focus point and bump your nose against it while framing!😀

I have the same  problem in x-T3. Touch screen disabled

Make sure you haven't accidentally switched the camera into Auto mode.

I had to turn off touch on my XT3 because any time I'm using the EVF (almost always), my nose or cheek will touch the screen constantly. Not sure if this is due to my wearing glasses, but it's super frustrating.

I am having the same problem. I've turned off touchscreen but the focus point keeps jumping into the corner. No good at all.

I had the same problem with an x-t3 and the f1.0 50mm lens, but found that if you set the Focus Are to "ALL", it then fixes it, for both S (static) and C (continuous) focusing.
