Hi, all.

I know of electronic shutter distortion but last weekend I noticed it really bad on my X-T2.

Check out the crowd and lamppost in the background.

Is this normal?

yes it is.

why do you use electronic shutter when you know that you will be panning and when there is no advantage from it being silent? If the answer is the shutter speed being higher , this type of photography was possible even when cameras could, at most hit 1/1000 s.

I've only had the camera a short while and I'm still learning how to use it coming from years of Nikon. I had heard of the distortion but I didn't know bad it would be panning.

Lesson learnt and thank you.
