  1. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and the link, it appreciated. I’ve been reading and reading and I’m still not quite sure what to do though. I might hire a 10-20 and see how I get on with it. I also have the chance of swapping the 16mm for a 16-55 now. That would cover the midrange I need and then I could get the 10 or 12 Samyang to get my wide needs covered. I’m confused.
  2. Hi all I have the 16mm1.4 and although I love the lens it's just the wrong length for me. I need something wider and also something else with a longer focal length. I've been offered a swap for a 10-20 f4 which would do the job in one or I could get something like a Samyang 10mm and a 23/35 Fuji. Carrying two lenses isn't a issue but quality is important. What way should I do this or do you have any ideas please?
  3. Do you have any tips for the rubbers?
  4. I've only had the camera a short while and I'm still learning how to use it coming from years of Nikon. I had heard of the distortion but I didn't know bad it would be panning. Lesson learnt and thank you.
  5. I know how to clean the glass but how do I clean the metal lens bodies, please?
  6. Hi, all. I know of electronic shutter distortion but last weekend I noticed it really bad on my X-T2. Check out the crowd and lamppost in the background. Is this normal?
  7. I'm 3 weeks in to my Fuji experience and have a few lenses to choose from and I must say that I think the 90mm is one of the best lenses I have ever used on any system. I do see the word "magical" being used and that's how I feel about it, I love it and love using it. It's never going anywhere.
  8. Hi all. I can answer my own question now because I tried it at the weekend for some motorsport action and the answer for me was OIS on. Worked perfectly when panning the cars and gave me good images down to quite slow shutter speeds.
  9. Thanks for all the replies. It does indeed turn out my copy was faulty. I got the replacement today and everything is fine Very sharp at f2.8 just as I hoped it would be. I was worried that because I had only used the primes up to now, IE the magical 90mm f2 and the equally amazing 16mm 1.4 The zoom wouldn't be up to the same standard that has drawn me the Fuji system, but thankfully things are looking very good.
  10. I'm comparing sharpness to the other lenses I have been using in the 2 weeks I have had the X-T2 I can get tack sharp images with the 90mm at F2 without any OIS. I can do the same with the 16mm at 1.4 With the zoom, nothing is sharp at 2.8 with or without OIS, tripod or not I'm just not sure If I'm expecting too much from the zoom I've had a Nikon 70-200 VR2 on a D810 in the past and that was fine. I'm pretty sure my copy isn't any good. I've requested a replacement.
  11. Hi all. I've just taken delivery of a 50-140 2.8 The problem is it's not sharp at all at 2.8 at any focal length. Even with manual focus, it's not good. I can only compare it to the lenses I have already, the 90mm f2 and 16mm plus the kit lens. Is it possible I have a bad copy or is it that I'm expecting too much?
  12. Hi All. Can you leave the OIS mode on for panning shots?
  13. Hi all. I've only just gotr my XT2 this week and the 90mm. Image quality is stunning. I'm loving the combo but was wondering about the 90's focusing speed compared to the 50-140? I don't need to go slow but is the zoom quicker.?
