Can't access manual focus on x100VI

Hey everyone,

Looking for some tips or advice here. 

I just got my camera out and noticed that the manual focus switch was no longer activating manual focus mode. AF-S and AF-C work as expected, but moving the switch to the M position just left the camera in AF-C.

I've looked around in settings but can't find anything I've done to cause this behaviour. I've already had to send the camera in for repair once, and I'd like to avoid that again if possible as shipping insurance is quite expensive.

Does this happen in photo mode, too?

Yep I've got it in single image mode it occurs there

The usual recommendation is to completely initialize all the settings and see if that fixes it.

Bugger no luck... looks like it's off for repair

You could try to toggle the switch multiple times to get rid of dirt or oxidation on the contacts. But since it’s quite a new camera it’s more likely the switch is broken. Too bad
