Windows 10 annoyance

When I download my jpegs and Fuji raf files I want to see the folders and am interested in the Detail view (file names, dates, etc) only. Once they are transfered off the SD cards I'll review and cull with Lightroom or ON1, or whatever. BUT Win 10 keeps coverting/updating the view to display the files as icons - bleech. Takes up too much of my time and patience
