New X-T10 kit from Amazon

I just purchased the Fujifilm X-T10 kit from Amazon. The two lenses that came with the kit do not have the "A - aperture icon" switch. Does that mean I only have Aperture Priority in Program mode? I can still dial and shift the aperture, but A never appears in the display and P does. Hmmmmmm.

Set your shutter speed to a fixed value, and set the aperture value to "A" (using the thumb wheel). Check what happens.

Thanks for elaborating ... I thought that mentioning the thumb wheel would be clear enough, but probably not to someone new to cameras.

 

I like to configure it on the front wheel though.

although i don't use an xc lens and use the xf27 only every now and again i've switched them as well

I'd add that there's an "Aperture" menu setting that determines whether or not you can dial to the A position. See page 98 of the (English) X-T10 manual.

Isn't this shutter priority? Yes it goes from P to A, but I'm looking for setting the aperture and letting the camera choose the shutter speed.

In the manual I have PG 98 is about Set Menu options, & 98 in the PDF is about different films. I would like to find the manual for this X-T10 with illustrations like the camera not something else.
