Has anyone else noticed this?

While processing some Fuji jpeg files in Lightroom,  I noticed that Lightroom's Lens Corrections function will not work with jpegs. A user gets a "unable to locate a matching profile automatically." notification. Then going to the Lens Profile selection option, there's no Fuji item to select. Anyone know why?

For jpegs the lens corrections are applied by the camera already for most of their newer cameras I think.

 

Even when you process raw files it usually automatically applies the lens correction and you can't change it.

 

Which camera are you using?

LR won't let you access that with a JPEG because it knows the corrections are already applied. RAW should allow you access to the corrections.

As far as I know there is no way in Lightroom to remove the automatically applied corrections in raw, but why would you want to? I believe that other raw converters may give you the option.
