Hi,

I'm excited to join this forum! I'm a beginner photographer passionate about capturing the beauty of natural landscapes. I'm particularly drawn to photographing serene scenes like riverbanks, sunsets, and mountains, focusing on capturing the natural environment without people or animals.

I'm eager to learn and grow as a landscape photographer, and I hope this forum will be a valuable resource for me.

To kick things off, I'd love to hear from all of you!

What are your favorite natural landscapes to photograph, and why?
Do you have specific tips or techniques for capturing captivating images when people and animals are absent?
What gear and settings do you find most effective for photographing these scenes?

I'm excited to share my photography journey, learn from your experiences, and contribute to this vibrant community.

Thanks

    • I got my X-H2S back from Fujifilm Canada, where I sent it in due to a firmware-related issue. They "repaired" it at no charge, which I appreciated — but now it's come back with a completely new issue and is basically unusable. As soon as I attach any lens, the screen starts blinking for about a minute, then shows a “Lens Error” message. I’ve tested it with three different lenses, with and without a memory card, and the result is always the same. The problem only goes away when no lens is attached. This issue didn’t exist before the repair. It was returned to me marked as fixed, but now it’s even worse — I can’t use the camera at all.  Video showing the issue: https://youtu.be/ki7oHViDwsQ

    • I've been using an X-T3 for years... Now I just decided to give an X-T50 a try, mainly for IBIS and supposedly better autofocus... As light goes down it is much worst, I started to notice it immediately! I tried with bot the 27mm 2.8 and the 35 1.4, I know not the best lenses for autofocus, but still the X-T3 handles it much quicker in difficult/dark situations, Here is a video, the first is the X-T3, the second the X-T50: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/14mxqd5xkltwz609x3s52/test-focus.mp4?rlkey=xsc6v5zzke2n4m9q4x2wldoci&dl=0 Tracking is even worst!!! : https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9kejtzmlkidyauymh53nk/test-focus2.mp4?rlkey=axg3j51c4nknwgz4ewf9obuj2&dl=0 Both camera same exact settings, both on latest firmware and both in boost mode
