focus peaking problem

hi everyone

i own a x-e2

i have a big problem with focus peaking in manual focus (with old lenses and adapter ring)

focus peak with my vintage lenses worked fine before but since the firmware update from 2.00=>4.01, i have not the function working any more

after the update of firmware i obviously reset all the menu and settings but it's still impossible to view the peak in manual focusing

 

any idea?

Are you on standard focus assist? Standard can be hard.

 

On the X-E2, you have Standard, Digital Split Image and Focus Peaking. You may select either one to help.

thanx but i am on focus peaking assist and this function does not work, i don't see peaks

(before the update i saw them)

I have an X-E2 and use focus peaking - and it still works after I updated the firmware to version 4.

 

I needed to change the settings back to the way I had it set up with the previous firmware (highest setting for peaking plus blue color), but it works the same.

hmm

i just found where is the problem :

i usually use old lenses with adapters with my x-e2, but  the focus setting (on the body, beside the mount) was set to "C" instead of "M"....

Yes, it happens to me too every now and then. I forget to switch the selector on the front when going from manual to auto or vice versa.
