Hi all, newbie here. Been using Fuji for around 6 years and just picked up an X-T5 a couple of months ago, coming from X-T2

Anyone thinking of the upgrade, particularly from a 2, it's good. Really good

Anyway, I've picked up at least one dust spot on the sensor, and depending on the file it does show. I can easily deal with that with healing, but I want to remove the dust

I've always undertaken my own sensor cleaning using Sensor Swabs, and their cleaner, with great success. I'm not a fan of using a blower, seems to create more dust problems than if fixes

So my question is, what do I do about IBIS when cleaning the sensor

What precautions should I take

Hi there, I always follow this procedure:

1. Turn the Camera on (and leave it on while cleaning).

2. Set IS mode to Off so the sensor remains locked in position.

3. Switch the shutter to ES - this prevents accidently closing the normal mechanical shutter while cleaning.

4. Turn "Shoot without Lens" to Off - this prevent the shutter from working with the lens removed

5. Turn Power Saving Mode to Off.

Once cleaning is done you can reverse all of these settings as required.

I've not heard of leaving the cam on whilst doing a wet clean of the sensor

Is that to ensure no movement of the IBIS sensor?

And if yes, IF I wet clean the sensor with IBIS off but the camera also off, can we get some movement in the sensor still?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, as far as I know it's better to have the camera switched on to lock the sensor in place. I've been using this method since I bought an X-T4 a few years ago with no problems. It seems to be the recommended practice. If you do a search on YouTube you'll find some more in-depth videos on the subject.

      Good afternoon -new to the camera and this forum. Thoughts on best image transfer from X100VI to MacBook Air? It only has power input and thunderbolt ports and when I tried plugging camera in through adapter it wasn’t recognized. Able to use third party card reader by Ultimaxx currently through the same adapter that won’t recognize the camera!  Thanks in advance and apologize if silly question.  will dig through the threads as well.

      The short answer is no but if X Raw Studio noise reduction doesn’t give you the results you like why not process them with another raw processor? You could then apply noise reduction together with whatever other processing you want to do.

      Hello, I've been a Fuji user for a few years with various XT cameras...I'm thinking of getting an X-Pro 2 camera even though it's late in the game...I'm wondering if the frame lines in the OVF are set for a few specific focal lengths or if they change with new focal length lenses coming out now. I recently got a Viltrox 27mm lens and in the info I see online I haven't seen anything related to that focal length when it comes to the framelines. I plan to use that lens a lot with the XP2...if I get it. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you for any help.

      Hello,   During my recent trip i used my new X-S20 to take photos. I wasn't really familiar with the camera and it was my first camera and the first ~200-300 photos were taken by mistake with 6400 iso, even during the day. I saw ISO 6400 in camera, but i thought that was the max ISO, not constant. I did save RAW files with the intention to use XRAW studio from Fujifilm to play with different settings. My question is, is it possible to use a third party program to apply noise reduction to RAW files and then save them again as RAW files and continue with using them with XRAW studio? I know i can apply noise reduction with XRAW studio settings but from what i read, other programs are better. Or maybe you know some other way to save those photos?, i really liked how they turned out and i am a little dissapointed with that mistake..
