This me me, is that you?

Recommended Posts

I've owned a Fuji X-M1 for a couple of years, but over the Holidays I picked up an XF35mmF1.4 and it re-ignited my interest. So I placed an order for an XT-10 (one of the open box at One Call - smokin' deal), and am now looking at more lenses.

What do you all recommend next? An XF16mmF1.4 WR? Maybe an XF10-24mmf4 OIS? There are so many good lenses to choose from.

Next I'd recommend going out with your XT-10/XF35 combo and shooting some.

After a while you'll have been in a few situations where you may have noticed the need for another lens: wider or longer. Or even both. Those will then be your next lenses.

Lenses depend on your style of shooting and your needs, not what other people recommend. Only once you have decided on what to buy next is there a point in seeing what others might say about, for example, XF56mmF1.2 R vs XF56mmF1.2 R APD vs XF60mmF2.4 R Macro or 10 mm vs 12 mm Samyang.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

I have the same set up x-t10 and 35mm 1.4. Last year I bought the 14mm 2.8 because I love wide angles and primes. I don't really need zooms for me as a hobby photographer. Why would you need the wr from the 16mm with your not wr camera?

I bought both kit lenses that came with the x-t10. I actually bought it so I could give my old x-e1 to my boyfriend, give him the lenses and in the hopes he will not need to use my prime lenses. But I tried them out and I adore the xc 50-230mm it's a beautiful lens for a very cheap price. Yes, it's all plastic but the image quality is still fuji. It does gives some blur when the subject moves too much and you try to zoom at more than 120 and you've low light. Don't expect it to preform like the more expensive lenses. Than after all you have less to worry with this lens if it would broke or something. There are better reviews out there than mine so I'll leave with just saying: look into it.
