How do you change the X-10 file sizes from 72dpi?

How do you change the X-10 file sizes from 72dpi?  When I download JPEGS they are always at 72dpi.  However, the manual says the maximum dimensions of a (L and Fine) print should be about 16 inches by 11 inches which, bearing in mind the pixel dimensions of 4896 x 3264 is the size of a 300dpi print.  If I want to shoot only JPEGS I don't want to have to re-size them once I've downloaded them.

 

Any thoughts?

you change it in the image software of your computer.

 

If it really bothers you you can make this an predefined action, the camera doesn’t allow you to change it.

Out of the camera, 72 ppi is meaningless. It is just a placeholder. It becomes meaningful when you go to make a print. At that point, a print resolution is applied in software that will match the pixel dimensions to the size of paper. When viewed on a monitor or on the Internet, it has no application or significance.
