X-T30 Protection

Just starting to use my new X-T30. Been out of nice cameras for a while and really enjoying the far greater versatility of this great little machine. I'm hoping to take this gem everywhere but do want to take what measures I can to protect it.

Wondering about lanyards. I'd like a lanyard I could clip to the camera. When skiing I'd like to carry the camera in my outer chest pocket where it will be easy to retrieve but doesn't lend itself to a neck strap. A decent lanyard attached to the inside of the pocket would prevent it falling from the lift!

I'm also wondering about a nice half-case, or even a full, two-piece case like I used to have on my old, film SLRs. There are a number of options I've seen online but I have no experience with how well they work. Some might even damage the camera. Leather? Silicon? Various plastics?

I'm using custom neck/wrist straps that are connecyed with durable ring.

It's easy to add small carabiner to the ring to quickly secure it in the pocket.
