we've had some snow today so why not try out the xp2 in snow Seems to like it !

Harpax the link u have is the case I'm referring to There will be 3rd party ones along soon I'm sure I have quite large hands so the case just gives me the extra little bit of grip I need Vince it's prob unlikely I'll get round to snapping all angles of a case the pics on the net are accurate As I've said yes u can get into battery but not into cards I would say it takes just a few seconds to remove and really isn't a prob I can't really see a 3rd party case with hole in side working so well

Melv and ewm19 Thanks for your kind comments I'll try and answer questions as they come up Batteries I normally take 6 but these are split between 3 cameras No prob recharging Cuba has electricity:) I suspect I had some bad food that did me in I was there for 3 weeks which I think was plenty ! Tips ..... Take a bottle of hot sauce and some salt The food is so bland ! My process ..... I do very little to a pic The exposure is everything and watching for the right light A bit of contrast adjustment and some dodge and burn where needed I have many years shooting transparency and I think a lot of that technique applies to good digital photography I'm planning a photo workshop in Cuba next Feb so watch out for info

I never really thought about the SD cards ! Hmm that could be annoying but its dead easy to take off so not a major issue and I would not normally be changing cards during a days shooting You can get to the battery ok and I suppose that thats more likely to need changing on the hoof Happy to do a pic of it but please be a little patient ... Camera is at my gallery , I may not be able to get there for a couple of days if the snow forecast comes true tonight .

Ive used XP1's pretty much since day 1 and have never noticed any weather problems via the socket So even if its the same on XP2 I can't see it being a problem I have an XP2 but its in my studio so cannot confirm If you're really worried stick a bit of gaffer tape over it

Wow seriously is this guy still going on about this "non problem" I am using the XPRO 2 and have no problem with this whatsoever People do not be put off by this it really is a non issue The fuji cameras are not the same as ALL cameras They are Fuji and Fuji design them as they see fit If you want something different buy something different

I may have had this first of all or it may have been my stupidity All seems well at the moment As already said if it is an issue a firmware update will probably sort it out Teething problems.....

Im not really into comparisons between cameras as theres often other factors involved However.... The XP2 is the fastest camera of its type that I have used , it is certainly adequate for my needs If you have the image set to display in the viewfinder after taking it , the speed from focusing to the image appearing is incredibly fast Ive been through everything I need the camera to do and I am happy A tiny negative for the purists ..... The box is a real disappointment ! Now if Adobe would get the RAW files working in LR everything would be perfect

The irony of all this is my XP2 arrived today Im feeling loved again

Ive a feeling no one believes me .. Impressions.. Lightning fast focus handles beautifully I am impressed

Well this is irony ......` I have just collected my XP2 ! Very impressed that its arrived so quickly I would post a pic but .........

An update...... Having spent a couple of days with the M9 its really not for me ! Yes I can focus easily and quickly Yes I appreciate the build quality BUT !! Seriously the final images are in my opinion not good enough and I feel the fuji is a way better better in all sorts of ways I printed work on my normal Hahnemuhle paper and compared with my fuji work I showed it to some clients and colleagues and they all chose the fuji prints So its gone back and have apologised to my collection of fuji cameras for daring to cross the line I am glad that I have had this experience and relived my days of M6 and M7 but for me Leica digital is having a bit of a laugh !

Excitement is mounting as we all await the arrival of the new baby from Fuji Can I make a simple plea ....... When yours arrives please try and resist the urge to flood the group with a picture of it ! We all know what it looks like and we would much rather see the first pic you took with it ....

For me 35mm is the most important focal length and I would be disappointed if the new model had a fixed 28mm

ermmm well errrrr Today I had a look at a used M9 & 35 Far nicer than the 240 so I bought it Did I do the right thing ? Time will tell

Many moons ago I was a Leica user M6 and M7 and a lot of very expensive glass Recently Ive been thinking about a digital Leica ..... Today I went to the dealer and tried the M 240 I hated it ! It did nothing for me at all I also had a look at the Q whilst there The viewfinder screen is appalling !! The XT1 is so superior its not funny ! So I am now very happy as Ive saved about 12k by not getting involved in what is increasingly becoming a rich mans toy Leica I don't know what you are playing at but in my opinion you've lost the plot ! Fuji really are producing the goods and with the imminent arrival of the XP2 Leica must be very concerned

think it would look nice if you coloured all the spokes alternate colours in photoshop
