I see no pic ... Derr blind Ive seen and commented

I have seen other forums where the poster can request no comments , so thats one way out of that Personally I would rather people comment and I have no problem with them saying its rubbish as long as they can explain why , I may learn something Overall I would expect to see most peoples comments supportive as I would like to think we are all nice people What I don't want to see is every pic that gets posted being rolled over and the dreadful great capture comment (god I hate that !) A straight forward comment or suggestion as to how the pic may be improved is all thats needed Surely we are all capable of that ?

Im shocked at how much gear people think they need to cover a wedding I don't shoot weddings these days (Thank God !!) but when I did the Fuji didn't exist and it was all shot 6x6 and my god the gear was a killer ! To have one small bag for a job now is a sheer joy To be honest I think i could do a pretty good job of a wedding with just an X100t ................. Anyone getting married

I have a wife who just loves driving me to the airport.... can't think why I thought bought Japan but it would not be "rough" enough for me and I would spend far to much on gadgets ! Venice is perfect for photography but best avoid the summer as the light is very contrasty not to mention the 1000's of tourists Ive been a few times and my best trip was in Feb just before the carnival It was a bit chilly but the light and mist were fantastic Attached is a pic shot early morning

I need a yearly fix of India

Thats great so from a year in India you must have some amazing pictures Im sure we would all like to see them

I am going to visit Paris for some snapping 8-15 March Just wondered if anyone else will be there then or indeed lives there ? Be nice to say hello
-
You can take pics anywhere I don't know where you live but in a lot of countries winter is stunning with amazing shots to be had

There are now some more from Cuba on my web site http://peteraphoto.com/cuba.html
-
Ive just returned from shooting in Cuba for 3 weeks and my main cameras for this were a pair of XT1's I am overall pleased with the results and the initial prints are fine .... However... Theres just something I just don't like My Last long trip was India where I mostly used Xpro 1's and looking at those files i much prefer them To me the XT1 sensor seems to produce a file which is a little too "hard" ? (I shoot Raw) The Xp1 files seem a little more subtle ? and I think are nicer Im not suggesting there is any major problem but I would say there is a difference The XP2 is going to be interesting

I was hoping to persuade you it was a selfie
-
I am trying to persuade people that photography is about taking pictures Theres too many people that can talk for hours about dynamic range etc yet we never see a pic from them Just looking for balance thats all
-
Thank you for your comments Michael I totally agree you can hire your own guide , indeed we use one ourselves for part of this tour You could also hire a student I suppose as you say .... or You could work alongside a guy with 30 years pro experience in a very small group and have an amazing experience Luckily this trip is now 40% full and will be promoted at the NEC in March so will fill very quickly As you know so much about this I will assume you have visited India many times and I would love to see your pictures Some of mine can be seen here If anyone would like to see more please let me know http://peteraphoto.com/india.html

Thank you I have been a little hasty ! The ignore feature will be useful mdm I am not looking for people to kiss each others backsides saying how great the work is etc , I agree those sites are horrible I just wanted to try and encourage more people to post pics rather than just talking about the cameras , it could be a nice balance ?
-
Sadly Ive decided this is not the forum for me Ive tried to bring interest to it but certain people just seem to only be interested in shooting down anything thats not worrying about how many buttons a camera has etc.... Rather than waste anymore time I will just call it a day Admin please could you remove my account Thanks

Hmmm no avatar .. Ok I can fix that Profile pic .... well I prefer pics I have shot and indeed posted on here many times My signature ... I will see what I can come up with I look forward to seeing your work
-
I think its a shame that so few people in here bother to show their work Disappointing as some like to talk a lot but never show us anything to back the words up Just forums I suppose
-
Thanks Im glad you like them The trip was very successful (apart from a bout of food poisoning ) and I have over 100 images to choose from towards my next exhibition I will post more as time goes on I used a variety of lenses 2 XT1 bodies with 14 16 23 56 plus X100T (fixed 23) I did use the x100 t a lot which is rapidly becoming a fave for my work
