Yes, WiFi connection does work but is a PITA to use as your phone loses it's cheaper Internet connectivity whilst using it!

Just bought the XH1 but cannot get it to Bluetooth pair with my Oneplus 3t Android 8.0 (Oreo) phone using Camera Remote-> Pairing Registration. Both devices just sit there "searching" and then give up. I've updated the camera body to firmware Ver.1.01 and installed Camera Remote using the QR code on the back of the camera. Has anyone got any tips? kind regards Julian H J Loaring

According to the latest release notes: Features Still to Come in the General Release Importing and converting of presets from legacy versions of Effects Crop tool Navigator/Loupe/Histogram panes Reading compressed Fujifilm Raw files Apple Photos extension

Unfortunately, it does not support X Pro2 compressed RAW at present. Release notes are here: https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/235180448 Supported cameras: https://on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/235402887%20 So it is reliant upon a RAWspeed to decode the RAW format. According to the RAWspeed Github there is a known fix for compressed Fuji RAW files, but it has not been integrated yet.

Lost Eyecup / Eye Piece X-Pro 2
jhjl replied to Display_Name's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Having lost my 2nd eye-cup, I returned my XPro2 for repair. This was a very fast and simple process: Filled in a support request form online Fuji posted me the pre-paid return packaging Posted camera to Fuji Camera returned to me 5 days later On the plus side, the camera has been thoroughly cleaned, like new! On the downside, they performed a factory reset losing all of my customisations... I also had to learn how to use my X-T1 buttons again which was remarkably frustrating but I still got good images! -

Trouble is the word "hopefully" - I can't see how they can re-engineer what is simply a push on component. Fuji put on the original, it fell off. I put on the replacement, it fell off. So, I conclude it is a design fault. Even when attached, it barely does the job and poorly serves us glasses wearers. I'm a little surprised that the army of professional beta testers didn't insist on changes. -

Have just returned from 9 days in Norway... without my replacement eye cup Fortunately, it stayed on whilst I was in the very wet Bergen area and I remember thinking that it was doing a good job. Alas, somewhere in Oslo it had fallen off, but luckily it was sunny all week. I now regret not gluing it on. -
Lost X-Pro 2 eyepieces

Interesting, I have not heard of this product before. Reading the descriptions seems to imply the Loctite products are for metal to metal threads, had anyone tried this with rubber to metal? -

Exciting news, Fuji sent me a replacement eyecup yesterday and I received it and fitted it this morning! Happy days. I am contemplating applying a couple of spots of hot glue to keep it in place, any thoughts on the efficacy of doing this? In my to and through with FujiFilm Worldwide support, I mentioned that I wanted part BF00015761-100 - CONST EYE PIECE. Their investigations informed them that this is the complete viewfinder assembly, not the eye cup. I got the impression from my correspondence with Fuji that they located and sent me the eye cup to me as a courtesy; there was no indication that they are generally available. Your mileage may differ! -

I have just spoken to Fuji UK and they are adamant that the rubber part should not come detached and that they must replace the whole viewfinder assembly. They are aware that the USA are taking a different stance but are concerned that if the part is user installed, it may come off again Very disappointing -
Photographed the final show of the tango tour last night and again got >3000 images using 2 batteries, changing battery and memory cards during the interval. According to my charger, battery 1 had 70% charge left and battery 2 had 60% left. I shot mainly using the OVF with minimal chimping. I did occasionally use the EVF to check framing and to make auto eye detection easier to use. The back LCD was switched off. The camera was set to 1/125s at f2.8 auto ISO12800, centre weighted metering, RAW only. I occasionally used the front dial to tweak the shutter speed higher if ISO was lower than 6400 or lower if the scene was particularly dark. I was using the electronic shutter so that the camera was silent - this does make it hard to know when you have taken an image, especially in 8fps burst mode, but it makes in theatre shooting more audience friendly! I suspect the high number of frames for the amount of battery was due to me shooting at 8fps for 6 out of the 35 dances. I also manually shot rapidly when in single shot mode when the sequence demanded it... I am hopefully shooting some lavender fields and meadows tomorrow, so different shooting conditions, setup, and style required. It will be interesting to see how the battery performs.

I've recently been photographing a tango based stage show and have got 2000-3000 shots at each show using just two batteries. I changed the battery at the interval as a precaution but was never concerned each battery would not last the act;unlike the 32Gb memory cards - thank Fuji for two card slots! I was doing a mix of single shot and 8FPS shots, mainly optical view finder but using EVF when I needed to see the whole width of the stage. I had the LCD switched off. I was using the 50-140mm with stabilisation on. Did very little chimping as I had to keep up with the pace of the show, just the occasional review to ensure I was getting usable images. Although the battery falls of the cliff with little warning, but, as I have been using Fuji X cameras since the first X100, I do not find it a hardship to have a few spare batteries in my pocket/bag; they are relatively cheap compared to my ex 5DmkIII's batteries. I've not missed a shot yet due to a depleted battery.

X-Pro 2 Firmware Request List
jhjl replied to Ektachrome's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Shooting indoors during a live stage show I have found myself wishing for the ability to assign settings to buttons that can be toggled between two related values of my choosing. For example, Eye focus (both eyes) on <---> Eye focus off Drive Still image <---> Drive Continuous 8fps Although I got by using the menus, it would be so much easier with a single button press In the various b/w modes, it would be nice to have other colour filters available e.g. orange. Or perhaps allow one to choose from a colour wheel as IRC you can on Olympus cameras -

No I haven't. I need the camera for shooting an ongoing tango stage show and was due to go for a long holiday tour of China next week (sadly cancelled due to delay getting a visa). I have shot >7000 images without the eyecup and no longer notice it is missing -

I've lost mine too. I contacted Fuji and was staggered by this reply: I have to return the camera for a push on part costing pennies -
Moving object in low light with Xpro2
jhjl replied to Joostven's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
I recently took pictures of people dancing in a salsa club using X Pro 2 XF16-55mm f2.8 Nissin i40 flash (typically with a MagMod grid) Camera set to high performance mode ISO6400 and ISO1600 1/125s at f2.8, 1/30s at f2.8 I think I had only one shot where I missed focus and and using the EVF and OVF I managed to time most of the shots such that I didn't get too many pictures of people's back as the spun and turned. Using an XT1 at the same club in December, I got fewer hits - the shutter lag is much harder to finesse. Previously I would use a Canon 5d Mk III and it was really good at seeing the dance and keeping up with the action, but the X Pro 2 is more fun to use and I prefer the way Fuji renders images. Also, the XP2 is not so intimidating in a social event and the kit is smaller and more convenient to carry. It would be good to have a faster recycling flash which connects to a Quantum Turbo battery pack or similar. The images are on a Facebook page. This was my first low-light outing with the X Pro 2 so be gentle The first few shots were ISO6400 but I then switched to ISO1600 using a fixed shutter of 1/125s . Later on, I was experimenting with dragging the shutter at 1/30s. I was using a grid on the flash most of the time to spot light individual couples and to let the ambient light come through. IIRC I was using Continuous auto-focus most of the time... -

This bug bit me last Friday whilst trying to shoot some salsa dancing; needed to remove the battery to get shooting again
