I don't think they X-E3 and 18/2 MK II will be announced together... but nothing is impossible

From the article: My camera doesn’t recognize the firmware files! When you download a new camera or lens firmware update to your computer, make sure you do NOT have previous firmware update downloads either for the X-Pro1, X-E1, other Fujifilm cameras or any XF lenses sitting in your PC’s download destination folder. File naming conflicts may cause your computer to save the new file under a different name (like FPUPDATE-01.DAT instead of FPUPDATE.DAT), which your camera won’t recognize and won’t be able to install.

it would not change anything why? Let's do it like you suggest and wait for permission to share. Ok... got permission, I write the rumor "Fujifilm will implement feature XY in the X-E3. But another source says there will be more new features" Ok... there is still a vague rumor about "more new features" that I can not answer, because I have no clue what they are. So I have 2 option: 1) share the rumor and say that, even though I have no clue what it is, a trusted source told me "more new features will come" 2) do like you suggest and do not tell anybody that the X-E3 will have new features, until (if) I can find out what they are I prefer to share what I have... and in this case it's a vague hint (more new features).
