Admittedly I’m not a seasoned user of tethering with Fuji.  I did some with Nikon to shoot files for focus stacking of macro images.  
 

However, for general use I have found the Fuji Remote app to be more than adequate.  I use it primarily to control my tripod mounted camera when I want to avoid manually tripping the shutter and more often for downloading images.

 

Question:   What practical use would this tethering device provide?
