The 42mm f/1.2 had a reputation of being somewhat soft at full aperture. I had the original Pen-F in 1964 with 38mm f/1.8, 100mm f/3.5 and later the 25mm f/2.8. The last lens was the sharpest, even at full aperture. I now have one for use on an X-Pro1 but have not tested it yet - too much other stuff going on.

Sure, np.  but the fuji X mount is only 1cm off from the pen-F, so likely no speedbooster.  Also, penf mount is about 1cm less in diameter, so some lenses (not yours) will have some of the control surface slightly covered.  Great lens choice.  The bokeh has a very old fashioned feel, with what I looked at on Google... I like the visible blades look.  Immediately makes you think the photo is old.
