Can someone explain the cable protector to me?

Just received my x-h1 and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do with the cable protector - what it is for, how it attaches, where it attaches, when to use, where the little screw type thing goes, etc., etc. Cannot find a thing in the manual nor on the web. Thanks.

It had me baffled too! However, it's on p248 of the manual: screws into that tiny hole immediately below the micro USB port and if you loop the cable through the two hooks as shown, it serves to prevent the cable pulling out during tethering.
