New to Fujifilm

Coming from Canon. When using my new X-E2s on P mode, some of the photos are dark. I'm using back button focus. Focus switch in front to M. According to manual, exposure should adjust accordingly.

Welcome to Fujifilm. I came over from Nikon. I love the Fuji cameras (I've had a X-10, XE-1 and now X-E2) and the quality of the images. Sorry I can't be of help with your problem.

Do a test shot for exposure and use the handy Exposure Compensation knob to dial-in perfect exposure. It is one of the most brilliant features of the X-Cameras. If there is a light source in the image, the sensor will try to pick an average exposure, resulting in a dark image. The opposite is also true—photograph a spotlit performer in front of a dark background and the performer will be washed out. The EC knob falls under the thumb and lets you dial-in exposure every time. Having the histogram visible in the viewfinder helps a bunch.
