I have the exact same problem.

Anyone could help?

And before this happens, I usually see camera jumps randomly between modes.

I also try updating the firmware of body & lens, but nothing changes.

Hello,

Did you solved this issue? I have the same problem with my X-A1 where the dial mode is locked on M and I can't change that in any way ( I did update the firware, I did reset the camera several ties)

Thanks a lot in advance,

I would like to get in the queue. I have that issue on the X-A3. If I turn the dial it switches between P, then C and then portrait enhancement mode. All in between don't work. I also had some wild jumping around of modes before sometimes.

It seems to be a common issue and I would like help from Fuji on this.

    • True. For me the problem is that it is quite difficult to infer from EVF what the outcome will be. Of course, you can get some impression as to how the scene will be exposed, and then you can adjust the settings (exposure). To me, you need to make several different exposures in certain situations, as you cannot, however, determine correctly the one by just looking at EVF. I find this laborious for some holiday pictures etc... The "important" pictures I always take in Raw. I din't find this problem with my Nikon D7100. So I have needed to adapt to this new situation. 😃
    • I only started at 400 ISO to trigger the dynamic range setting on the X-H2 and agree higher ISO will be good for capturing crisp waves I depend on exposure compensation a lot too. For sunsets at the beach, I usually shoot them on a tripod, rarely handheld. At higher ISO, the noise can be considerable when rescuing shadows so I will probably only go up to ~1200.  The closed aperture is to control the amount of light from shooting direct in the sun and create a wide depth of field, but I also agree, dialing back to f/11 or f/8 could work when the sun is very low on the horizon.  I spot meter on the sun, then dial in the exposure compensation to bring up the shadows. Maybe this isn't a good approach, but it seems to work. I think I just need to be more aggressive with the exposure compensation and see what happens. I may have a chance tonight at a different location on the coast and will post my findings. Thanks for the advice.
    • I recently updated my Pixel 6 to a Pixel 10. Now no more connection issues. I'll never know why. Both phones were running Android 16.
    • It's similar to what happens to my XT-5 and Oneplus phone. For those of us with OnePlus/Oppo phones we get told the connection has been lost. So it might be another aspect of the problem, though so far at least it has looked like Samsung and Google phones were working OK. Judging by the number of people who have problems after firmware updates, I find it difficult to understand why Fuji can't make it possible to downgrade. At least then you could back out of something nasty.  Good luck.
    • Well I have seemed to found the solution. SetUp-Screen setup-EVF Brightness-Auto/Manual. It was set on auto. However, when I choose "manual" and tried to make an adjustment is said "check the finder." While this did not allow me make any adjustments the EVF was substantially brighter. Problem solved. I wish to thank all the help I gave to myself concerning this matter. 🙄 (Actually I just got lucky before someone pointed all this out.)
