Does anyone know a way to "disconnect " the menu display from the view mode settings? Here is what I mean: I use 99% of the time the Viewfinder only view mode when I am shooting. But I want to see the Menu on the LCD when I need to adjust something. In order to do that, I need to first switch the view mode to the LCD, make my changes and then switch back to the Viewfinder only mode. The same procedure I need to do with the Quick menu. So is there a way to force the Menu and the Quick Menu to the LCD regardless what the view mode is?

Thanks for any help.

I would love to have this function, too! We should ask for this at Fujifilm. Maybe that they include this in the next Kaizen software update?

How many people here would like to have this feature? Fujifilm is the only company who does feature updates on their cameras I know. I guess if there are a lot of their users who want a feature, they might do it. We could begin a online petition on that issue and spread the word (fb, forums, dpreview etc.). If there are enough of us, Fujifilm might react on it?

I just got back from trying for a,sunrise HDR with my XPro-2 and was surprised how difficult it was to get the menu up on the LCD panel. I wanted to check the battery state and only after a bit of fiddling did I see (on the LCD) that the battery was down to 15%. I'm sure there's a better way to get the battery state displayed buy my effort reinforced what you are asking for (I think) - to be able to have the LCD display the setup menu irregardless of which viewfinder mode (optical, electronic, combi, or LCD) I am using to operate the camera.

Did I get that right?

If so where do I sign up?!!

Yes, that is exactly what I was talking about. I will do a research how user feedback could be rolled in to the firmware backlog. Edited by miklosphoto
