I actually didn't want to open a new thread about it. But since I have been asking and didn't get any proper feedback, I thought I was the only sufferer. But then another user agreed with me. So let's see what about yrs.

I upgraded the firmware of my x-t10 to latest version. But I feel the photo storing speed has significantly decreased. I cannot scientifically prove it but I have been using x-t10 for quite some time, and after this upgrade I feel like photos taking too long to save. Yes I shoot with F+Raw. But previously it was acceptably faster. I mean I never had any problem taking multiple shots one after another (not saying burst shot). But this time if I take a few shots repeatedly, either the display goes black for taking the time to save the file while I press the shutter button for next shot or it just doesn't response. Also, in CH mode, it can take 5-6 shots at a go and then stops taking shot for quite some time. No it doesn't slow, it just stops taking shot for 5-6 seconds, then again takes 1-2 shots slowly, then again stops........ I hadn't this problem before the update. Anyone facing this problem or knows any solution? If u have the same problem, please respond here. FYI I changed 2 cards, both same and both are new n original.

I have just tested the CH mode, I do not use it often (or almost ever), I did play with it once when trying to get a flying bird; however, previously with Raw or Raw+Fine, the camera would take 7-8 images before it stopped. I have just tested both RAW and RAW+Fine and it stops after 5 images, then what feels like a second later it takes the 6th.

In fine jpeg only mode it takes around 20 before slowing down

It is not a major concern to me, but it is annoying if I ever needed to shoot more than 5 frames continuously in CH

CL jpg is unlimited (or feels that way still)

CL mode in RAW fills buffer after 11 photos

Sinlge shot mode, does not involve any lag saving the file as far as i can tell

This is still more than Fuji specs, which say @ 8FPS JPEG approx. 8 frames @ 3FPS JPEG until card is full

Either it is a couple of photos worse than before or I remember it wrong, like i said it aint a mode i use a lot

So it is true the camera got slower.

How fast are your cards?

With RAW + Fine I get 7 pictures in CH (after my last upgrade) before the X-T10 slows down. Cards, 45 and 95Mb/s.

Mine are 45Mb/s. But the thing is, card is not the factor here. Whatever it was before, it has become slower.

In my other thread in another fuji forum, a few people also responded the same. I wish every x-t10 user would test his/her and respond. Till now those who responded, same for everyone.

Same slow down problem here but I didn't try extensively before the update!

Anyone know if it is possible AND safe to downgrade to an old firmware?

(I saved various update somewhere in the computer! I miss only the stock firmware)

my "numbers:

xt-10 latest firmware (9 june 2016)

xc-16-50 latest firmware (9 june 2016)

mechanical shutter speed 1/250

ISO 400

Dynamic Range 100

F3.5

Face Detect OFF

Auto focus ON

Spot Autofocus

Auto focus settings c-autofocus priority -> release (this can make some difference too)

SanDisk micro SD + adapter to SD 16 GB HC1 Class 10

RAW+F+L3:2

=> 7 fast shots + last  8th shot about a second after I released the shutter due to the slow-down

(UPDATE) So I have read the response of all the members here. Then I thought, u see, some people are saying, they are getting the amount of shots as per Fuji mentions (which is 8 frames @3fps) and some are saying they are just feeling it has slowed. Then I thought about it more and found there maybe another issue involved.<br />U see, besides decreased buffer limit, there may also be decreased writing speed in the memory card. I personally feel that's the issue that bothers me more. I think the photos are taking more time saving in the SD card after the update. So can anyone clarify is it possible that due to firmware upgrade, writing speed to memory card has reduced? I want to exclude the SD card issue as this started to come to notice after the upgrade.
