Yellow Indicator Light, 15 sec on shutdown

My x20 lens doesn't seem to want to close all the way to the 'off' red position. The lens movement stops with the red dot directly below the right mic when facing the lens. The yellow indicator slowly flashes 15 times (15 sec?) , then a half flash, then the camera is finally turns off. The means the lens is still in the 'in-between' position, not on and not off. The camera does turn off after the last yellow flash. Any idea why the lens won't close all the way? If it's an obstruction, can I remedy myself? Thank you in advance.
