any ipad pro users here for fuji raw or just editing in general?

Recommended Posts

I have been searching for a new 64 bit PC, build your own vs buying. I prefer to just wait it out for another few years. Video cards now faster or priced same as a PC is crazy in itself.

Rarely using my 9 year old dell pc as it is. The ipad pro looks very ideal right now. I understand

there are still limitations.

Is it a quick and smooth workflow? transfer raw or jpg from fuji directly to ipad pro or

use an external ssd. Then use lightroom for ipad?

Hoping to hear from fuji owners here who's workflow is with the ipad or ipad pro.

Ideally photos coming out of the fuji is great enough that only requires minor editing tweaks, yes? :-)

Thanks!

XP2 -> Desktop Lightroom -> Mobile Lightroom on iPad Pro. Although I import to my desktop (where a RAID ensures my photos are never lost), I add it to a synced collection on import so the photos are automatically synced to the iPad Pro where I can rate them. I will also try out adjustments on the iPad Pro and really only use the desktop if I need to fine tune an image. I really wish I could use the brush tool on the iPad Pro since the pencil would be awesome for that, but unfortunately that feature isn't there. Also, you can't export full-res images from Lightroom Mobile if they were synced (only if you import them directly to the iPad), so I still use the desktop for that. However, I have a good remote screen app (called "Screens") on the iPad where I can remote control the desktop, and an app called Astropad if I really wanted to use the brush tool. With these apps, I can do almost all of my processing on the couch.
