Apparently the Russian cameras Zenith will make a comeback. This is somewhat a nostalgic thing for me since the first reflex camera bought with my own money was a Zenith E.

This time they won’t be featuring proto-industrial technology mostly borrowed from East-Germany when the Russian troops seized the factory and archives of many German optical factories.

Apparently they want (as almost anyone else these days) tackle the high-end market wanting to expressly rival with Leica and whatnot.

So, Rostec, the Russian conglomerate concern owner of the Krasnogorsky Zavod factory, maker of Zorki, Zenith and Krasnogorsk, will make their own camera, new, from scratch, and their own updated version of the old optics.

We shall see
