X-T3 Lens mount corrosion?

Hi,

I've had my X-T3 for just under a year. I've recently noticed something going on around the lens mount, mainly on one side.

Is this corrosion? It doesn't clean off.

Any ideas or thoughts as to what this is would be most welcome.

Hello,

It looks like corrosion from exposure to salt.

What type of environment do you use you camera in?

Are you located close to the ocean or have you visited any locations where you were around salt water?

My initial thought was salt. Although I generally clean my gear after a visit to the seaside.

I'll send some pics to Fuji and see what they say.

Update.

I sent the camera to Fuji for repair last Thursday. I've just received it back. They replaced the front assembly under warranty, completely free of charge.

Just over a week including two bank holidays. Outstanding!
