Hello all, I am a new member on this forum

My name is Eirik Berger and I live in Longyearbyen on the Arctic archipelago Spitsbergen in the North Atlantic.

I recently purchased a Fuji X-T10 with the 18-55mm f/2,8-4 lens. Why?
I have used Canon full frame DSLR for years, but I have for some time wanted a smaller system for travel, landscape and family pictures ( I have three small children). I know the top quality of Fuji lenses as I have worked with large format (4x5" and 8x10") photography for years. And I love the way the Fuji X-cameras look, so does my wife (that always helps).

The 18-55 is the best quality kit lens I have ever had, I love the all-metal construction. I just wish the hoods also were metal like the Zeiss lenses of my good old Contax cameras. I have just ordered the XF 50-140 f/2,8 and will also order a wide angle prime lens. I have not decided on which one, but the XF14mm and the Zeiss Touit 12mm looks great. My wife wants the XF27mm for its small size.

It is completely dark here 24 hours a day right now, but when the light returns I will share photos and experiences with my Fuji X-system.

Take care.

Eirik
