Why doesn’t Fuji continue to upgrade its cameras like in the beginning?

Hi, I used to own an XE1 when it first came out and Fuji would constantly provide upgrades.  I left and went to Leica full frame and then decided to come back into the Fuji fold. I purchased the XT-3 and have enjoyed.  What’s strange was software enhancements came slower but more importantly, no new film simulations?  Maybe this has been answered before but why has Fuji stopped doing this?  It’s not because of the processor, xt-4 is basically the same camera with image stabilization…
