bubbles, bubbles......... visible only with lots of light points, reflecting or originating light, in the Bokeh-ed ( where the image is not sharp) part of the image.

 

New version of a classic.

 

I have bought ( and un fortunately, sold... I could have made a few bobs now! ) a similar version of this lens many years ago and back then it was a cheap lens ( was old by the time I got it) now you will have to pay €1500 for the privilege of owning a triplet lens made from one of the oldest optical projects in the world.

Of course this is going to make the (many) old lenses still around jump up in price even more than they already have in recent times. Funny how lenses that were worth next to nothing just a few years ago are now causing a stir among buyers.

 

This morning, as the news hit the world of the launch of this expensive "new “ lens, ads hit the internet asking for the old one.

 

Just a coincidence?
