New and stuck! xs-10 and 7artisans macro lens, can't get the camera to take images, changed settings to manual - help please!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm not new to photography, but I have recently upgraded back to a proper camera  - the new xs-10 - and bought a highly rated macro lens for it - 7artisans - but despite following the instructions to switch the settings to manual, nothing happens. It will not take a photo :( I really can't wait for the instruction book on the fuji xs-10, we had one for our Sony a6000 cameras which was brilliant. Apparently there is a version coming out, but of course, not soon enough!

(Side note, I say proper camera, I was using a bridge camera as I couldn't hold the a6000 with a decent lens because of disability. Having worked on regaining strength in my left side and arm, I was super pleased to find that Fuji's new xs-10 was light enough for me to use. Yippee!!

Hi Olaf, yes it is a manual lens. I cannot find 'shoot without lens' in the menu anywhere. LOL and trust me I have been in every option. Idiot-proof answer required please! 😛

I was so frustrated I went out with my pocket camera and took lots of macro photos, obviously not as good as I hope to get with the 7artisans lens.
