Strugglong to update software

have just bought a xt3 it has software version 1. have formatted a card and downloaded the software to it put it in the camera tried to update says no firmware on card .when it comes to computers im not very good , what files should be on the sd card do i need to open tem or anything ,totally baffled , Tim.

Did you extract the firmware file? The download is most likely a zip archive.

I havent extracted anything it doesent say anything about extracting data in the fuji instructions .

FWUP0019.DAT are the files on the card at the moment ? thanks for your help .

Keeps saying firmware not found in slot 1 of the camera ?

Now sorted , needed to extract the data to the root directory of the card .
