I’ve really enjoyed my 70-300 on my X-T5.  What kind of photography and what subjects?

What aperture and where was the focus point?

Im thinking about the xf70-300mm but i heard the sharpness isn't good. any recommandation?

my 16-60 was sharp enough at 16 .  Noticebly soft at 80. From 50 and up I would notice lack of sharpness. I ended up trading it for a Tamron 17-70 . I know... I know..... sounds crazy ..... but in my opinion this lens is sharper.

Thanks for the advise. The lens is clean, the sensor should be clean as this camera is used mainly for shots on the street which I don´t do much of. I´ve blown the sensor with a bulb and I´ll try the plain white shot to see what shows but the I don´t think the sopts loo too much like dist. They are very pixel shaped with sharp edges.
