I picked up the xc 50-230 in black on ebay straight from Japan, it works flawlessly, no warranty, 200 bucks. Worth the risk imo. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

I considered plasti-dip, but so far, it is much easier to handle than I expected. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

I have been searching the forum and found pictures in "nature and wildlife" by a member named "Lichtklicker". Amazing. Exactly what i hope to achieve. He used the FX 18-135 with an MCEX-16. I am sure there are many ways to accomplish the end result, but i like the fact that all components are built by a single manufacturer. My wife is gonna kill me... I have been looking at the 60 on ebay , looks like it can be had for around 300 which is currently the best deal i see. Regarding the mcex11 and 16, it seems they get some good reviews as well. Are they good with the 60 though? I have the 18-55 and the 50-230 currently Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

Thanks for the input, i do have a vanguard 265cb with a tbh-50 ball head. I will check out these other options on lenses and see what may work best. I would prefer not to be super close to some of the critters i want to shoot.. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

I am curious about the macro options for the X-T10. I see the only real option from fuji is the 60mm F2.4. I want to shoot insects and such, but dont want to invest in the wrong option. Any advice? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

So I was lucky enough to attend the 2015 AdobeMax conference in L.A. a couple weeks ago, where all attendees received a free X-T10 and XF 18-55 lens. I am not a photographer, but I am interested in learning as a hobby now. Given the zero cost, I went ahead and bought an XC 50-230 lens, extra batteries, and a vanguard vojo 25 bag for safe keeping. Where do I begin? I have read many intro/fundamentals of photography over the past 2 weeks, and I am thirsting for more knowledge to send me down the right path. Any and all suggestions welcome
