I've owned the x-pro 3 shortly since after release and I've taken thousands of images with it. I mainly use the combo of evf/LCD when composing. Like you I turn the camera off to save battery. My advice to you is: Don't worry about it. The expected shutter life for the x-pro 3 is more than 200K+ actuations so unless you only shoot at the max 20FPS it's a non issue. Dan

Could it be that the lens somehow has gotten damaged by water entering it? If so, keeping the lens in a dry place for a few days could possibly help.

The viltrox 75mm looks like a superb lens considering the price Have you by any chance tried it on an "older" body like an x-t3? If yes, how is the atufocus compared to the t5? Edit: Great shots, thanks for sharing!
