I'm personally not a fan of Fujinon lenses in general, zoom lenses in particular although there are a few good (expensive) ones out there and this image does not look sharp to me. .No offence intended - just my opinion. Any teleconverter will also degrade sharpness and your image is a good example of this. I use a Canon EF400 f5.6 (on my X-T4) with the K&F EF-FX adapter at a total combined cost of approximately £600 GBP and obtain results better than this..pse see attached.DSCF6684.jpg.8401e7f528508938c3a5ea8f92055d3a.jpg

wtf degradation are you talking about?

    Hi

If your into street photography might I suggest the 27mm.

Paired with the XT10 this would make quite a discrete setup, and the lens is not expensive.

I agree, it's a great little chuck of glass. Love the 40 perspective for many genres, all of which I just call 'Photography' (I have a things against the 'street' moniker)

  3. The XF50 f/2 is underrated. It's only been in the past few years in the history of imaging that f/2 is not considered a large aperture (rubbish if you ask me) Great color, contrast,  and accurate  AF in a tiny package. Outside and tight indoor, this is the one iyam

  4. It's a great camera body. It does however have quite a lot of customizations which can be overwhelming. Dialing it down to the proper way to assign buttons and dials can take you a bit of time but once you get it, it's amazing.

  5. Well, I'm one year in and I'm not quite sure. I have a 20+ year background with Canon FF, analog + digital. I have really struggled with macro and fuji. I have a great setup but I think the OVF of Canon is suited much more than any EVF out there for that. Otherwise I am pretty happy. I do not like how easy it is to accidentally change settings on the X-T5 by bumping and dials turning by mistake. The menus are good but a bit heavy handed. I really like the prime lens selections and IQ up to the XF90, beyond that much is lacking. The 40mp sensor on crop is amazing for cropping without loss of detail and cleans up very well with noise reduction such as in LR.

I find myself shooting with the 27 mkii and the 50 f/2 & 90 for the most part. I just picked up the Siggy 18-50 and feel it's very underrated and will make a great travel 3 primes in one lens.

Size and weight are great and it's a fine looking piece of gear, if that matters to you or not. Well designed.

  6. Edited, sorry I did not pay correct attention to your posts wording.

    That being said:

21- 24 mm with a bit of correction can be nice indoors, so on crop that's 14 or 16?

The XF 14 2.8 is a very underrated lens and has that 'look' of the older Fuji 35 folks love so much.

  7. XF 90 f/2. The Canon 135L is a classic concert low light performer, this is Fuji's version...not as good but what I would use. I really don't understand wide concert use of lenses as lighting is so nuts and varied. Tele lenses hone in on a tighter and better controlled lit space and give better intimate framing of musicians and the stage.

  8. The 18-50 is a sleeper for 3rd party X glass. It's like a bag of primes. Small, light, great IQ. As with most (not the 16-55 of course) zooms, there is some corner sharpness issues at the extreme ends but overall it's amazing and for the price ($419 at the Sigma Outlet) Not much bigger than the XF50 f/2 with a hood as well. Love mine!
