rollypolly got a reaction from terrycioni in For X100F Owners - Manual Focus
Confirmed, my x100F has the same behavior with each successive burst moving the focusing distance inwards when the aperture is set between f/3.2 to f/16 . Starting at a focusing distance of 15', by the 10th set of pictures the focusing distance has moved down to approximately 3'.

This weird behavior was only observed from f/2.2 to f/16. When the camera was set to f/2.0 or A the focusing distance would hold. At f/2.2 and f/2.5, the focusing distance moves outwards increasing the focusing distance. At f/2.8 it is negligible but still shifting the focusing distance. From f/3.2 to f/16 the focusing distance movements shifts from moving outwards to moving inwards.

Looks like another bug that hopefully Fuji will address.

Consistency is all I ask for. But somehow Fuji managed to throw me for a loop. Having an X-T2, X-Pro 2 and an X-T20, they all behave the same when the units are turned on with the previous distance settings preserved.

But Fuji had to go ahead and put in a default setting of 7' for the X100F when powered on no matter what the previous setting was set to.

    Arrgrrggghhhhhhhh!!!! WTF!!!!

It's the little things that can drive one crazy.

    Cheers!

MD5 and SHA-256 checksums are different between the early "beta" version and the official "fuji" version.

I'm also noticing performance differences in low light AF capability. I was having some problems with the 56mm 1.2 but now it performs like a champ in very low light.

As one of those who took a leap of faith, I needed to verify that the camera would allow a re-install of the same version. Seems to work as the camera goes through the paces by displaying the progress bar of the install. Once completed, my X-T1 is behaving the same as it has been since I've installed the new "beta" FW.

I also tested to see if I could re-install 3.11. I can't, which confirms what has been previously stated about not being able to install a previous firmware release. Also, I verified that that the firmware updater does indeed use checksum to verify the integrity of the FW file. It does.

Here are the ranges for the various shutter modes in the T setting:

    ES - 1" to 1/32000
    MS - 30" to 1/4000
    ES+MS - 30" to 1/32000

AE bracketing still +/- 1 EV  . Someone at Fuji must hate HDR...
