  1. I have to mention the Tyka travel tripod. Find it on Amazon and read the reviews. This really is remarkable value at around £50 and I bought mine after comparing weights of half a dozen carbon fibre and alloy tripods. A perfect, 1.5kg including ball-head, complement to XT1 or XT2 etc. Note many tripod specs exclude the weight of the head, check this carefully to get a real ides of weight
  2. Read this sequence of posts and debated 16-55 v 18-135 as a travel lens on my XT-2 for a long while but since I have the 18-55 already, and am pretty happy with images once stopped down a bit and it is so much smaller and lighter, I went for the 18-135. If you can accept its relative slowness (I am using it at f8 most of the time) this is a truly fabulous travel lens. Unless you are printing greater than 15 x 24 regularly, I think the reach and versatility of this lense are incredible. For real wide I have the 16mm 1.4, now that is sharp, a brilliant w/a.
