I simply shared some information that might be helpful to know. I have no idea if what I saw in some reviews is accurate or not, just something to bear in mind, especially since it's always a good idea to try simple and inexpensive solutions first. The one review that stuck in my mind is one who does numerous, ongoing Fuji reviews on YouTube. He was very clear about the fact that once he stopped using the T1 battery in body, and used the T2 OEM, the freezing issues during continuous shooting subsided. He didn't spend a lot of time on the issue, just made the point, his recommended solution based on his experience, and moved on to other stuff. This may be an issue, and there may be other causes for this to occur that haven't been determined as yet. I too wonder about the card issue. In Leica forums we had discussed which cards were recommended as reliable, and it came down to Sandisk ExtremePro. I purchased SanDisk 64GB ExtremePRO UHS II SDXC Memory Card, 280MB/s, U3. Hope you figure it out and can enjoy the new shooter.

Fujifilm Long Eyecup EC-XT L for X-T1 on X-T2
NWPhoto replied to pete1959's topic in Fuji X-T2 / Fuji X-T20
I had the larger cup on my T1 and swapped with the T2. I like the larger one better. -
I have seen at least one review where the camera experienced lockup while using an X-T1 battery in body during continuous shooting. Even so, I expect firmware updates to fix bugs with any such product after release. I've been using X-T2 battery in body and no issues thus far.

Are you using X-T1 battery inside body? I have seen reviews where this causes freezes when using as you described. If so, I'd recommend using the X-T2 battery in body. I've been using the X-T2 battery in body, and X-T1 batteries in grip with no issues. But I've got 4 X-T2 batteries on the way.

I have a 35, f2 so I'm picking up that 16, f1.4 when it goes on sale May 22nd. I do a lot of shooting in Italy and a nice fast wide is great in those medieval hamlets with narrow streets and broad piazzas. I was atop the Duomo in Firenze (atop it's dome) in Sept 2015 shooting with a 10mm rectilinear prime and everyone loves the look. And shooting in crowded streets and piazzas with shallow DOF is just great stuff.

Rick here. My full time work is not photography, pretty serious, and takes much of my time. So I shoot when I can and always carry cameras with me. I sell images via Zenfolio, but I will not do portraiture or weddings, or similar. Not my thing. I've been shooting Pentax K5IIs bodies in recent years, and these bomb proof bodies with their pro zoom lenses are heavy. I, like many wanted to lighten my load. Going full frame, I chose a new Leica M-P 240 Safari kit with 35, f2 Summicron. And I have a nice variety of Leica lenses. For an auto focus, zoom lens system, I chose the X-T1 which came with the 18-135 zoom. I also picked up a 35, f2 Fuji prime, which I believe is the better of the two 35s. But I also picked up a Fuji Leica M adapter to shoot some of my Leica primes on occasion. I just received my X-T1 and given the serial number beginning with 54, it's a recent build 5=2015, and the 4= 4th quarter. So I am hoping some of the bowing door and detaching grip rubber issues have been addressed. Time will tell. I also picked up the battery grip, but I have to say, my large hands can get a fine grip on the body without the grip attached. So far I'm very impressed with the build and handling of the X-T1 and look forward to enjoying shooting with my Fuji/Leica MP duo without feeling like a Sherpa. I travel to Italy on occasion and am going back this Fall. It will be nice to lighten my load without sacrificing image quality. I am keeping one of my Pentax K5IIs bodies and certain primes and a couple of zooms. It has no AA filter on the sensor and I know if I'll regret it if I don't keep one.

Hey Hey Hey...isn't Fuji supposed to be made in Japan??
NWPhoto replied to Dr.Nipun's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
My new Fuji X-T1 arrived today. The body is made in JAPAN. The 18-135 is of course made in China but I am impressed with the build and feel of it. The aperture ring clicks very positively and has just the right amount of resistance. Completed both the body and lens firmware updates. Also have a 35, f2 prime coming and already have the round retro metal hood for it. I've read great things about that lens. I also ordered the Fuji Leica M adapter and will try some of my Leica M lenses. I got the adapter for half price, as I did the grip....both mint condition. Now the fun begins. -

Yes indeed. If there is a zipper on top of the flap, I appreciate that design. -

I remember a couple from Washington State USA were waiting in Roma Termini for their train with bags of expensive photo gear. Some guy was encroaching upon their space in a way that made them feel uncomfortable. After a few minutes of this, they opted to wait outside Termini, and once outside, realized that one of their expensive lens was about to tumble out of a bag because of a nice razor cut. There are also incidents of thieves standing behind folks at crosswalks, and on busses and subways, slicing open their bags or unzipping them. I once shot some video in front of the Pantheon in Roma and later noticed in the video a woman walking by with a day pack. The entire upper rear compartment was unzipped and hanging open, and she was apparently oblivious to it. Probably lost an ipad or something pricey. Pacsafe also sells steel mesh bags you can store laptop and camera bags inside of and then lock it via steel cable around something like a pipe or even a toilet....something that cannot be easily dismantled or removed. You can lock it to permanent structures inside trains too so you don't have to worry when going to the restroom or for a coffee. -

I am surprised no one mentioned Artisan and Artist and maybe it's the price. But looking at the price of some bags mentioned, I think not. The padding and dividers are very well made, and protective. You can remove the padded inner bag and use just the shell which is like a heavy duty canvas (like some Domkes) My favorite daily do it all Leica bag is - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1098915-REG/artisan_artist_aaacam1100blk_evans_walker_camera_bag.html For combining my new X-T1 and Leica M-P 240 kits, I am seriously looking at this- http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1098914-REG/artisan_artist_aaacam1000blk_image_smith_camera_bag.html/prm/alsVwDtl They are well made, with an understated sophistication, and NO FLAP. I won't buy any bag that requires me to deal with a flap....or velcro. These bags mentioned have quite top access zippers and a very comfortable and well made shoulder strap plenty long enough for cross body wear....the only way I wear them. I have used Domke before and do not like how many of them are made. With poorly secured main storage areas and hand slicing clips, it makes no sense to me. When I'm in places like Rome, Italy, I use my smaller Pacsafe sling. I can sling it to the front in crowds and with people waiting behind me, and even if I don't, they cannot get into it. Locking zippers, slash proof shell due to wire mesh throughout, and steel cable in the shoulder straps to defeat slash and run theft. The rotating buckles on the strap ends lock too. The shoulder strap is much more comfortable, and better designed, and reinforced than the Lowepro slings, of which I have two (medium and small). http://www.pacsafe.com/camsafe-v9-anti-theft-camera-sling-pack.html I have also used one of the Pac Safe skinny shoulder straps for small point and shoot cameras attached to a Black Rapids lug screwed into the tripod socket. I then attach the other end to a D ring on my camera bag, and it is also slash proof with steel cable, and locking buckle attachments. This way when I remove my camera from a bag in places like the Trevi Fountain, a camera snatcher is going to have a tough time separating me from my camera. One guy tried to steal my Pentax K5 while my wife and I were shooting each other in front of St. Peters. I made my move when he did and he ran off as a result. Hope this helps. -

Many Apple products made in China so if there is proper oversight and QC, should be good. -

At the long and short end the 18-135 is said to get tight requiring a tad more oomph on the zoom ring, and this is attributed to the weather sealing provided. I'll find out soon enough since my first ever Fuji kit comes this week and that is the lens it is coming with. Hopefully a nice companion to my Leica MP 240 kit. -

The 18-55's I've seen online were made in Japan but the 18-135 and one other were made in China. Seems there were some exceptions. -
Maybe the tester left it in a bar
