I had the same thing happen on my X100F. The fix for me was just pressing the shutter button a bit harder. After you half-press to lock focus, make sure to press down firmly and it should fire right away. If I press too lightly, mine still lags sometimes. Seems like it might just be the way the shutter button is designed, or maybe some wear over time. -

See the response on the other forum - you likely had the camera set to save jpg only
