Hi

I was on a shoot yesterday and must have inadvertently changed a setting half way through. The viewfinder and rear screen both showed a cropped image and the RAW cymbal had changed from just the normal RAW (I'm afraid I can't remember exactly what it said) and was orange. I shot a few images like this before doing a reset but those files aren't readable in Capture One or Lightroom! The back-up jpegs were fine luckily. Peculiar thing is that they looked fine when viewed from the card in camera.

My concern is that I don't know what I did and had I not noticed I could have been left without readable RAW files,,,,,any ideas please?

Congratulations on your new camera.
- "cropped image": you probably enabled the XT3's sports finder mode? "a unique Sports Finder Mode can be used, which highlights the 16.6MP crop area in order to give you additional room outside of the frame to recognize moving subjects."
- "aren't readable in C1 or LR" : you will need to update your software, when XT3 raw support becomes available. But you could use Fuji's X RAW STUDIO v1.4 in the mean time to work with XT3 raw files. (Of course, if like me, you're on a LR6, you won't ever get anymore updates that support XT3 or any other new camera).
Another excellent alternative is Iridient X-transformer v1.1 to convert your XT3 raws into DNGs, which could then be read by C1 or LR.

Hope this helps
