The $150 Sainsonic Kamlan 50mm f/1.1 for Fujifilm X-Mount Coming Soon (+ Review)

Recommended Posts

Yes, cheap and light efficient, but that is about it.

Using a lens like this, with 5 lenses only and no-stop continuous aperture, will be interesting for some but in reality few will ever use it at its maximum aperture although they may buy it for this reason ( by the way this reviewer says that the blades of the diaphragm aren't moving at all between 1.1. and 2).

The very disappointing lack of contrast and definition of the corners at full aperture and the fringing makes this lens only usable for portraits only and very little else.

You’d be better served by any vintage manual lens with an adapter some delivering 1.2 at no higher cost than this lens!

The point of shooting pictures with a very open aperture is completely lost on me if and when it comes to the detriment of its optical features.

The so called “ gain” for shooting at a higher shutter speed is totally lost in the fuzziness of the lens.

“ technically it's very hard to asses the little Kamlan lens very positively “....
