Conversion lens menu settings don’t stick

Walking around with the telephoto conversion lens attached. I either turn the camera off between shooting or it times out. Either way, the camera needs to be turned on again and I need to go back into the settings and enable it again. Is there a way to make this setting persist until changed again?

Which camera and which lens? My X100VI just works with the TCL-X100II and doesn't need any settings changes.

That’s what I am referring to. There is a menu setting under User Settings for Tele, Wide, or Off. I believe it is designed to help with vignetting and such

I’ve never seen a setting for the conversion lens under User Settings - there is one under Shooting Setting but it’s set automatically with the X100VI/TCL-X100II combination.
