Hi I would like to start topic about C1 setting you use to process your .RAF files.  like maximum sharpens or clarity noise reduction etc....

What i found .RAF files are flat(not bad ) in C1 how you deal with this ? I use in Base characteristics Film High Contrast and than play with curves and levels black points .... i m just not sure about clarity how match you can push it to ...any suggestions?

Bonsoir,

In reply to your post about Capture One I use the default settings for Fuji (in v 8.2.2) and then adjust according to my interpretation of the photo and which zones I feel need to be improved - I used the same method when I had a Nikon camera.

For clarity I use 'natural' at 15 as a starting point ('punch' when converting to b & w).

I do not change the standard tonal curve in basic characteristics but if you are interested here is a link to an article by Phase One on the use of tone mapping curves in Capture One - although it refers to C1 v 7 I think it is still valid, there are now more options. http://blog.phaseone.com/take-full-control-of-the-tone-mapping-by-using-a-linear-film-curve/

I hope you will find this interesting and useful.
