Hello:

Does anyone have a download link for the Gfx100rf user manual?   I’d like to get a head start on learning this camera while on backorder.

I cannot find it anywhere either so it seems like a case of patience while we wait.

OK I guess I will need to be patient. I did download the manual for the closest spec detachable lens version of 100mp sensor camera but there are quite a few operational differences.  I didn’t want to even bother attempting that manual!

For this issue, YouTube has started to become my best friend, through repetitious watching of some specific movie files.

I appreciate your reply.

Fantastic thanks for the link!  Now I need to start reading up on this great camera.  Hope my backorder fills soon.  Ordered the day after my dealer started taking orders so hopefully there are not 500,00 orders ahead of me!

Also am a bit concerned that my US-based dealer will jack the price because of impending tariffs.  IF yes, my backorder will be a distant memory because I will not pay a cent more than advertised when I placed my order.  Emailed my vendor and they were ambiguous in their reply.   I don't know their policy on price fluctuations for backordered products.

somewhat jealous but DO enjoy your new machine!    I just checked with my retailer here in the States and I'm still on backorder with no other updates.   Our dealer initially thought deliveries should start by the end of April.  Guess I'll have time to read up on the new RF.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have two niggles. The On/Off switch is very easily put on when camera is put in or out of a bag. The other small niggle is the front cover that clips onto the hood, is similarly easily no longer solidly on, when put into a bag and the sides of the bag touch it!

Apart from those minor irritations, very happy with my choice.

Still looks like a great camera but unfortunately I had to cancel my backorder.

I have slight tremors, not Parkinson’s. Did some testing at 60th of a second at F4 on an A7cr with a 25mm prime mounted. With image stabilization turned off on the cr, the files are mush when viewed at 200%.  With stabilization turned on I can shoot my Sony camera easily add a 15th of a second and the images are tack sharp at the same magnification.

I can’t justify spending $5000 on a camera only  to have some of its capabilities unusable because of that lack of a beneficial feature.

I hope you enjoy your new machine!

Sorry to hear about that, yes I like the RF very much, the two niggles aside, haven’t taken any images under 1/60th yet, but I like the way it handles, going to be a keeper for sure. I also have a Nikon Z6III with lenses up to 300mm.

    • The short answer is no but if X Raw Studio noise reduction doesn’t give you the results you like why not process them with another raw processor? You could then apply noise reduction together with whatever other processing you want to do.
    • Hello, I've been a Fuji user for a few years with various XT cameras...I'm thinking of getting an X-Pro 2 camera even though it's late in the game...I'm wondering if the frame lines in the OVF are set for a few specific focal lengths or if they change with new focal length lenses coming out now. I recently got a Viltrox 27mm lens and in the info I see online I haven't seen anything related to that focal length when it comes to the framelines. I plan to use that lens a lot with the XP2...if I get it. Does anyone know anything about this? Thank you for any help.
    • Hello,   During my recent trip i used my new X-S20 to take photos. I wasn't really familiar with the camera and it was my first camera and the first ~200-300 photos were taken by mistake with 6400 iso, even during the day. I saw ISO 6400 in camera, but i thought that was the max ISO, not constant. I did save RAW files with the intention to use XRAW studio from Fujifilm to play with different settings. My question is, is it possible to use a third party program to apply noise reduction to RAW files and then save them again as RAW files and continue with using them with XRAW studio? I know i can apply noise reduction with XRAW studio settings but from what i read, other programs are better. Or maybe you know some other way to save those photos?, i really liked how they turned out and i am a little dissapointed with that mistake..
    • Well done! p.s. Welcome to the forum.
    • I think reassigning the exposure compensation dial a good start.  The 520 page online manual should be condensed along with the number of setting options. Maybe they could have multiple firmware options for the X-E5; a pro-version, a photo enthusiasts version and a point and shoot version.  I love my X-E5 photographs but as a typical senior, with declining cognitive skills, I’m sorry say that I find the current singular version unnecessarily challenging.
