No RAF files on my Imac El Capitan and Iphoto

Unknown files comes up every time I try to load up RAF files on to my Imac and Iphoto. Only jpeg works so what is the problem? Please advice.

How are you trying to load them?

 

I use a card reader and move the files both JPEG and RAF to the finder and then import to Lightroom or Aperture.

 

Bear in mind that iPhoto has been superceded!

I just hook up the USB cable from the camera in to the Imac!

Gigas, I have just tried that and immediately the Photos app opens with an import dialogue! attached is a screenshot of the import dialogue of Lightroom which sees both RAF and Jpeg files as you can see!
