I've posted on these forums before, so I'm not a forum newbie, but I am a newbie to Fuji cameras as I finally pulled the trigger and bought a used X-T1 last night (real good deal on the graphite version as well!).

I'm a hobbyist using a Canon 7D and a bunch of zoom lenses.  Unfortunately, I just found that I wasn't using my camera as much as I would like, hearing myself make the excuse of "too much gear to carry" and "too heavy to carry around all the time".  So I began investigating other options and came across Fuji cameras around a year ago.  At first I was wanting the X-Pro 1, but having gotten so use to DSLR's and feeling more comfortable with a camera that had some weather sealing (I live on the coast of Scotland, so rain, wind and dust are a big deal to me...but I know that there are those who say WR isn't needed), I opted for the X-T1.

And the graphite X-T1 because it's pretty.  There.  I said it.  :)

I'm off to Canada next month and will need to pick up a lens or two, but I'm waiting first to see what deals (and announcements from Fuji) there are.  Definitely getting the silver 35mm F2 (anyone have pics of what silver after-market metal vented hoods look like on this lens?) as I like that focal length and figure that would be a good introduction to primes.

The next lens on my radar is the 16mm (I want to stick with WR) for landscapes.  If Fuji came out with a smaller, WR, F2 version....well....I'd be all over that!

Anyhow, that's me.
